Baby Layette Preemies

We have already covered preparing a baby layette, baby layettes on a budget and baby layettes for novices. Let us now consider a couple of the key items, and look at some examples and where you can buy them.

Baby Steps have a Preemies range of several of the essential items for a baby layette: blankets, coveralls and gowns.

For newborn babies, it is especially important to choose skin friendly materials, and the blanket pictured left is 100% natural fiber, combed cotton. This particular blanket features pink eharts on a white background.

Baby girls, of course, need sleepwear, at least in cold or cool countries. The coverall is a popular style instead of 2 piece pajamas, as is the baby gown. Pictured left is a Baby Steps gown, which is designed for newborn girls. This gown features pink stars on white background, with a white border with decorative hot pink stitching around the neck, and with front snap closure, fold-over sleeves, and made from super soft, 100% combed cotton.

The newborn baby boy's blanket is a simpler design than the girls, just having blue and navy stripes on a white background. Made also from soft cotton fiber, has a white border with decorative navy stitching.
